History

Pathfinder Support Services was established in Fremont, Nebraska, in 1978.​ Originally called Pathfinder Alcohol and Drug Clinic, the agency offered outpatient programming focusing on humanistic treatment for those who abuse drugs and alcohol. 
Today, Pathfinder provides services to children and families in need by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services, Nebraska State Probation Administration, Juvenile Justice Services Division.

Julie Kindler
CEO
Julie comes to Pathfinder Support Services from Nebraska Probation Administration where she held the position of Program Development Manager since 2012.  While serving in this role, Julie was responsible for statewide oversight of policy and procedure development, training curriculum development, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of programming effectiveness.  Prior to her work in the Administrative Office of Probation, Julie began her career in probation as a Community Based Intervention Officer, supervising high-risk probationers where she held that role for eight years.  Julie became a state-wide trainer in various topic areas for the state and served on numerous probation committees.  Julie has presented at the Nebraska Juvenile Justice Association (NJJA) annual conferences, Heartland Juvenile Services Association (HJSA) Conferences in Nebraska, and national conferences at American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) and at the National Institute of Corrections Training Administrators Network (TAN).
Julie has served on statewide collaborative teams, partnering with key stakeholders such as; the Department of Health and Human Services Administrators, Law Enforcement, The Women’s Fund, Crossover Teams, and Attorney General’s Office on projects such as the Nebraska Human Trafficking Task Force, Nebraska System of Care, NJJA conference committee and the Crossover Youth Initiative.
At the 2018 Nebraska Supreme Court Employee Recognitions Awards, Julie was nominated and received the Cultural Leadership Award for her work in leading the Judicial Branch in their Cultural Diversity Initiative.  In 2017, Julie was accepted into the nationally recognized leadership program, the National Institute of Corrections Executive Excellence Leadership Academy and graduated with her Executive Excellence Leadership Certificate in 2018.  
Julie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Julie and her husband have four adult children and enjoy spending time with family and their three grandsons.

Devon Gall
Southeast Service Area Supervisor
Devon Gall was born in Chicago and moved to Nebraska in 1994. Devon began his career in the human services field as a staff member of a group home for at-risk youth in Lincoln, from 2013-2017. During this time, he realized his passion for helping youth and giving back to the community. While working at the group home, Devon honed his organizational and leadership skills and developed teaching skills to help with implementing life skills and care plans for the youth of Lincoln. Devon joined the Pathfinder team in 2017 as a Family Support Worker. Devon enjoyed working one on one with families and children to develop safety plans and parenting skills. In 2019, Devon was promoted to Service Area Supervisor for Pathfinder. When not at work, Devon enjoys movies, biking, and spending time with family.

Laykin McCoy
Central Service Area, Grand Island Manager
Laykin McCoy gained employment with Pathfinder Support Services after graduating from York College in 2016. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology while also minoring in biblical studies. Laykin’s background in psychology helped her excel as a family support worker. She worked as a family support worker for a little over a year before stepping into the supervisory role. Laykin’s passion for helping children and families in need motivated her current pursuit for her master’s degree in mental health counseling, specializing in childhood trauma. Laykin has additional training in Evidence Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing and Youth Mental Health First Aid.  In her spare time, Laykin enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at a local free breakfast program for children.

Katlynn Timm-Stork
Northern Service Area Manager
Katlynn comes to Pathfinder Support Services from the State of Nebraska where she was employed with Probation since 2015. While working for Probation, Katlynn held numerous positions, which allowed her to work closely with juveniles, adults, families, and stakeholders. Prior to her employment with the State of Nebraska, Katlynn was employed with the Masonic Eastern Star Home for Children in Fremont, Nebraska. Whether it be helping clients reach a goal and develop new skills or building lasting relationships with stakeholders, Katlynn is committed to working with people. Additionally she is committed to serving and supporting her community. 
Katlynn graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and a minor in Sociology. She has knowledge and training in Evidence Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing, Drug Recognition, Power and Control, and Suicide Prevention. Within her community, Katlynn enjoys volunteering at The Bridge, formerly Crisis Center and is passionate about supporting small businesses. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Lindsey Roby
Southeast Service Area Manager
Lindsey comes to Pathfinder Support Services from the Nebraska Supreme Court where she directed the day to day operations and activities of the Lancaster County Criminal and Traffic Court since 2014.  As a former state and federal probation officer, Lindsey has an in depth, working knowledge of juvenile, state, and federal programs, and services as well as extensive experience working with high-risk cases involving youth, adults, and their families.  The majority amount of her work entailed substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and specialized, high-risk offender supervision. 
With over 20 years of experience in the criminal justice and human services field, Lindsey takes pride in her work and embraces a creative and individualized approach to empowering others.  Lindsey understands the importance of establishing strong working relationships with key stakeholders to include local and area judiciary, attorneys, educators, law enforcement officers and mental health and substance abuse providers.  Lindsey understands everyone has strengths and strives to provide and promote the most effective and efficient means to motivating and working with youth and families.  Lindsey utilizes the principles of Evidenced Based Practices (EBP) and has witnessed the positive effects such strategies and programming can have on individuals and families. 
Lindsey graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a degree in Communication and Criminal Justice.  Lindsey was a Nebraska State Probation trainer and graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and served as an Offender Employment Specialist during her role as a federal probation officer.  Lindsey has served on various local and state criminal justice committees and focus groups.  She has completed training in Childhood Traumatic Stress, Drug Recognition, Lesson Plan/Curriculum Development, MANDT, Evidence Based Practices, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).  Additionally, she has been instrumental in the development and implementation of chemical testing and electronic monitoring programs for other stakeholders.

Gianna Konen
Central Service Area, Hastings Manager
Gianna Konen was born in Texas then moved to Hastings Nebraska in 2001. Her experience includes working for Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services teaching life skills and developing goals and care plans for individuals with developmental disabilities. Gianna has been a part of Pathfinder since 2016, starting as a Family Support Worker. During her time as a Family Support Worker, Gianna developed many relationships within the human service field in and around the Hastings area and found her passion for helping families in the community. While working as a Family Support Worker, Gianna’s leadership and organizational skills were recognized and she was promoted to Service Area Manager. Gianna  has additional training in Evidenced Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing and Youth Mental Health First Aid.  Gianna and her husband are also certified foster parents.
