In-Home Safety services is a Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services rapid response, home-based intervention service delivered by trained staff to manage identified safety threats to safely maintain the child in the family home. Workers intervene if safety of the children is compromised.
We provide training, modeling, and coaching to the parent or caretaker when necessary to facilitate child(ren) safety while placed in the family home. Pathfinder helps the family identify both informal and formal supports on whom they may rely to ensure continued safety.
The goal of In-Home Safety is to provide urgent response to ensure safety of the child(ren) and avoid removal from the family home. We work with the family in stabilizing the immediate safety concerns, implement family protection procedures, and put into place measures for the continued safety of the child(ren).
